* Rider Consulting worked with YKHC in 2007-08 to identify the depth and breadth of alcohol-related problems as they impact the emergency department, the police department, and the local jail. We analyzed 10 years of data, and identified potential solutions for consideration. We interviewed key informants, convened two community meetings on the topic, and held a one-day summit with state policymakers and funders resulting in capital appropriations for an expanded detox facility and community service vans. * In 2003 and 2005, Rider Consulting prepared Dental Health Needs Assessments for the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortiu, www.anthc.org, in partnership with the Denali Commission, www.denali.gov, and Rasmuson Foundation. These reports are the foundation of the Denali Commission’s dental health clinic funding and the Rasmuson Foundation’s guideline for supplementing dental health clinic funds. * Since 2005, Rider Consulting has provided program support to the Rasmuson Foundation’s Partners in Nursing project. Partners in Nursing is a collaborative of the Rasmuson Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Northwest Health Foundation, Bethel Community Services Foundation, Mat-Su Health Foundation, the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association, and the UAA School of Nursing.
